Weekly Bodhi Pooja:
Following the tradition we have been conducting weekly Dhamma Sermons from the start of the Rains Retreat. Few weeks ago we have brought the Sacred Bodhi Tree to the Vihara (pictured below) to conduct Bodhi Pooja during the Rains Retreat.
For the rest of the Rains Retreat Venerable Vijitha Thero will be conducting Bodhi Pooja on every Saturday going forward. You have this noble opportunity to participate in these rare occasion that Venerable Vijitha Thero, who is a veteran senior Buddhist Monk in conducting Bodhi Pooja in Sri Lanka.
Weekly Bodhi Pooja will be conducted on Saturdays at 05:00 pm. You also have the opportunity to have Bodhi Poojas conducted on a personal basis, please come and speak to Venerable Vijitha Thero at the Vihara after the Saturday Pooja.
Kathina Ceremony Contribution List:
We would like to remind all devotees and friends in Dhamma who wish to contribute towards the annual Kathina Ceremony to provide the details of their contribution on or before 30th of October 2015. We are required to finalise all arrangements by 31st October following the Bodhi Pooja on that day. You all are invited to participate in the discussion of arrangements for the Kathina Ceremony on 31st October at 06:00 pm.

Participation to the Kathina Ceremony:
Kathina Ceremony will be held at Partick Burgh Hall, 9 Burgh Hall Street, Glasgow G11 5LW from 10:00 am.
Please note that Kathina is the most important event that a Buddhist Lay person can participate only once a year. We will have a Shrine setup at the premises throughout the ceremony. Therefore, please dress appropriately. Adults in White clothing, Girls - Lama Saree, Boys - National Suit. Alternatively, please dress in lite coloured clothes.
As always we need a head count to make sufficient arrangements for Dana meal for Lay People. Therefore, could you please confirm how many of you are participating for the Kathina Ceremony?
